About

Petr Jančálek (*1981, born in Prague, Czech Republic) ranks among architects of interior design. After the Secondary School of Civil Engineering he graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague with a degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture. After University he worked in the architectural studio of Joan Riera Jaume in Mallorca, Spain, where he designed mainly resindental buildings and resorts on the island of Mallorca. He then returned to Prague and found employment with the acknowledged architect Radan Hubička at the AARH studio.

In 2011, Petr Jančálek launched his own architecture and design projects and has been working on residential projects since then - mainly on apartment renovations in Prague. His work has been featured in distinguished publications such as DolceVita and Elle Decor.

Petr Jančálek's work is based on his deep knowledge of natural materials and modern technologies, which he uses in his original designs. He respects the history of the craft and creates interiors of international standard, always with the same level of hight standards, from conception to delivery.

He like to establish a fresh dialogue between architecture, furniture and objects that would generally not be paired together and yet, when combined, create unexpected and harmonious artistic compositions. Every part of a house or apartment is an opportunity for a fresh poetic vision.
